Father we pray, Lord help us to be ever watching for and preparing ourselves to the day of your return, when you come for your own. Lord let us always be watching and waiting for your return. Lord lets us always be remembering you whenever we hear or see the things that are happening around us, whether in our own lives or in our world around us and understand that everything that happens has an effect on us whether we see the immediate affect of it or not. Lord Jesus lets today read your Word and understand what you need each of us to do so that we are ready for the day of your return. Lord help us to look past our own things and look to what you would have us to do for you instead. For in doing for you instead of looking at our situation you ultimately walk us through each and every situation that may ever arise.
AMEN!

8.) ¶ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Ps. 90.4
9.) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10.) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; Mt. 24.43 · Lk. 12.39 · 1 Thes. 5.2 · Rev. 16.15 in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11.) ¶ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12.) looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13.) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Is. 65.17 ; 66.22 · Rev. 21.1
14.) ¶ Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

As I watch the news and see the pictures of the ruin of the aftermath of the 7.6 earth quake, I can't help but be reminded of what Gods word says about the end days, (and I do not think we are in the end days as the bible speaks yet) but my friends we are close to the beginning of the end. Gods Holy Word says in Psalms 46:6 - The heathen raged, the Kingdoms were moved: he (GOD) uttered his voice, the earth melted. (See below)
We see wars in which governments are changed, this could be kingdoms as in the bible, but I think you get the point. Anyway we see diseases that bring changes to whole countries, we see elections that change things, we see court decisions, that after years, have changed the whole out look of a country. Like taking prayer out of school. Gods Holy Word says in Galations 6:7 - Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
I realize that today's message is a little different than what you are used to getting. But you must realize that all that I have been trying to show you in the last weeks comes to this end. You see the bible says that we have the earnest of our salvation (kind of like up front money given to you with the promise of full payment when you finish the work). In other words we don't realize the fullness of our salvation till we make it home to be with Jesus. Therefore as the bible says, let every man workout his own salvation with fear and trembling. OK, seek God in every thing you do and you will be fine, give into the flesh and not be yielded to God and that is the beginning of trouble. So my dear friends please read the verses that are here today and then take some quiet time where you simply pray and ask God to speak to you and then just sit quietly and wait to hear what he would say to you about these things.

God Is Our Refuge and Strength

1.) God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
2.) Therefore will not we fear,
though the earth be removed,
and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3.) though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

4.) There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God,
the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.
5.) God is in the midst of her;
she shall not be moved:
God shall help her, and that right early.

7.) The LORD of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our refuge.
