“To Judge Or Not To Judge, That Is The Question”
I wish to pray first that the spirit of the Lord be present when you read this, that his perfect Will abound in this moment. At all times that I be in submission to his will and word, may you be refreshed and rejoice in the light of the truth, and his glory. May you be filled with joy as the truth dwells within you through each advance closer to him! Now may our Lord and Saviors name Jesus Christ be praised - Amen!
I will start off in telling you that I have heard many people say "you should not judge", but I say judging is not a relative term. You mustn’t take it so cavalier that it means all the same thing every time it is considered. We must judge many things on many levels and to not judge anything is to roll over and have a double mind and we all know how the lord feels about that, he does not like it!
So I tell you, without being self righteous, we should boldly go to those who may be doing things which the Lord has revealed to us as non-productive and wicked, on the outside chance that person might repent and turn from those ways. Who are we to not say anything and possibly be responsible for his inevitable demise? Satan has blinded many eyes and exists to destroy you and I, along with anyone whom the Lord would call. If we sit on our hands and do nothing we will have to answer for that day in which we said nothing!
So when some says "you should not judge" remember this is true you should not judge whether a man will enter into heaven or hell, but we all should judge the work of our hands and the deeds of our days or we will fall prey to the wiles of the evil which plagues us each day.
Ezekiel 3:17-21 says this:
17 - Son of man, I have made you a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18 - When I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; and you don’t give him warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at your hand.
19 - Yet if you warn the wicked, and he doesn’t turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
20 - Again, When a righteous man does turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at your hand.
21 - Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous do not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also you have delivered your soul.
Now that is not to say you should walk around all day everywhere telling everyone how wrong they are, but we should be ready to say what the Lord would have us to when it is appropriate. Always keeping with the spirit of forgiveness, peace, and the spirit of repentance for sometimes it as the word says in Romans:
Romans 14:11-17
11 - For it is written, as I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 - So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 - Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
14 - I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteems any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 - But if your brother be grieved with your meat, don’t you walk considering others. Destroy not him with your meat, for whom Christ died.
16 - Then don’t let your good be evil spoken of:
17 - For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
So in conclusion I tell you, be aware in your day that all you do is sound with the teaching and learning of the truth. Truth is not relative and time is only for the occupants of this earth. We are soon to see more of the spiritual things the Lord Jesus referred to in the word as we enter the end times. Be thankful and humble yourself to hear the truth when some one tells you those things you may be doing wrong, for it is a wise man that considers his own possible short comings and repents for them.
