It Is Sin That God Hates And Not People
Well, another week of trucking, high fuel prices, higher than ever food prices. A few hurricanes, a few more terrorists attacks and a few million dollars given away by our government to needy countries. So I guess it is business as usual correct?
For us the answer to that question would be yes. But if you talked to someone who was alive 25 years ago, who had not kept up with the times and we had to update them as to what was going on in 2005 verses 1980 surely they would have a hard time believing how bad things had gotten.
I know that personally I many times think back to the early years, (we will leave dates out, Ha-Ha) and find myself thinking LORD help me to be strong in you for surely if I am not I will never survive till you come back. The Bible says in the book of James,1:12 Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him. Well I don't know about anyone else, but it sure seems like this ole world sure is trying to get all Gods children blessed. Why do I say such a thing? Because with each passing day there seems to be more temptation to endure.
When I first started going to Burger King, and that would have been when they first opened the doors, they always advertised, have it your way. That meant your burger and now they have Paris Hilton doing something that; at the time they first opened would have been rated X and now it is accepted and OK. Well my friends, my point is that with each passing generation we become more and more and more and more and more tolerant of open sin.

When I first started to study the Bible, God had me to read the books of 1st and 2nd Chronicles, and boy was that exciting. Anyway I said ok Lord what am I suppose to get out of this? Then I noticed that whenever an evil King was replaced by an evil Son, it would always say, and he was worse than his father could be.

With the passing of each generation, what wasn't accepted by the older generation seemed not to be as bad to the younger generation and so on and so on. So you see there has been a couple of generations pass since those books were written. Just think about it for a minute in your life how the things that your grandparents told you not to do are now done without even consideration by our grandchildren. Now consider the fact that if it was wrong in Gods eyes way back then, how much consideration do we need to give to today. The worlds idea of what is Holy and True, or what isn't sin.
Do we as a Christian really even understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ?
Do we have some sort of miss led idea that isn't even God the Fathers idea for our life?
Remember before you answer those questions what was said in the last paragraph. Because you see just like being led away of what is ok and what isn't, so also Satan tries to lead us away from what is true faith and what isn't. What is true worship and what isn't. What is a committed walk with the Lord and what is really just a lie. You know, do we really know how to seek Gods face or do we just settle for a sermon about someone else who had an experience and then run around talking about what the pastor said or the evangelist, or an experience a missionary had.
Jesus said in John, 4:22-24,
22: You worship, you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23:But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
24:God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Now without getting into a big theological discussion, I am going to take Jesus at his word. John, 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ( BY JESUS ) That means that the modern day statement about learning to worship with all these other religions is FALSE.
Now back to where I was, knowing how to seek the Lord. How do we get it correct? In the book of James, 5:6-10 it says
6:But he gives more grace. wherefore he says, GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.
7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he WILL flee from you.
8: Draw nigh unto God and he will draw nigh unto you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.
9: Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10: HUMBLE yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
We need to realize that God wrote the book, we didn't and that means that we have got to go to him for the answers. That means for everything that has anything to do with serving him. Large or small, cause we don't have the mind of Christ to understand the things of God. But, as long as we worship him in spirit and in truth we will then be able to understand what God wants from us. Remember John, 4:22-24. As long as we seek Gods face and not just grumble about having to get out of bed on Sunday morning to go to church, but everyday have a long talk with God we will get closer and closer. Also we will begin to see on our own (in our walk with God), what is really God and what is mans idea of God.
This my friends is what will get us thru these last days, this is what will make us effective warriors in the army of God. Let me again refer back to what Jeff and I have both pointed out, it is sin that God hates and not people. Getting angry with man doesn't accomplish Gods purpose, getting angry with sin and the lies that the enemy tries to put into peoples minds does accomplish the Fathers purpose. Why? Because then when we see things wrong we will pray with the compassion of Christ in our heart and not with the bitterness of man.

Lord Jesus we pray, teach us oh Lord how to bow before you. Teach us how you want us to submit to you, how you would have us to worship, how you would have us to pray. LORD, teach us how you want us to live from day to day. Lord we are your sheep and you are our Shepard, teach us how to be your followers help us to erase preconceived ideas of what we think we need to do to serve you and you show us what you want us to do. Lord we lift our hearts, our hands, and our voices to you Lord Jesus and we say all blessing and glory and honor be unto our King and our Savior, we praise you Lord God most high for you and you alone are God and there is no other God but you............................... AMEN
